Our Background

"BWASCO Water and Sewerage PLC was registered under the company’s Act (CAP 486) on 22nd October 2024.  The Company is represented by the County Executive Member responsible for water and sanitation, who together with the board of Directors are responsible for the general policy and strategic direction of the Company. The Company is domiciled in Kenya and has regions in Bungoma, Webuye, Kimilili and Chwele. The company is fully owned by the County Governments of Bungoma under the water Act 2016 and mandated to provide water and sewerage services within the County.

The company operates several water treatments works namely; Nabuyole, Matisi, Kapkateny, Kamtiong`, Kapkerwa, Terem and Chesikaki all in Bungoma County.
